Tired of battling stubborn pests in your garden? Some bugs are just stubborn (like my students). The quick remedy is (besides conventional pesticides spraying) to burn some dry hays or equivalent, creating lots of smoke. Direct the fogging towards the crop beds. This smoke will irritate the pests spiracles (opening in the exoskeletons of insects and some spiders to allow air to enter the trachea) thus driving them away bye bye. This video demonstrates a natural and effective pest control method: smoke fumigation. Afterwards, the resulting ash can be used as fertilizer as they contain a number of elements such as phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, copper and manganese. To spice things up, we throw in some sparkler fireworks into the flame.
Learn how to:
Create smoke: Burn dry hay or other suitable materials to generate a dense smoke.
Direct the smoke: Carefully guide the smoke towards the affected crops.
Repel pests: Smoke irritates the spiracles (breathing holes) of insects, driving them away from your plants.
Enhance your soil: Utilize the resulting ash as a natural fertilizer, rich in essential nutrients like phosphorus, potassium, calcium, and magnesium.
Note: This method is a natural alternative to chemical pesticides.
