Reviewed key concepts in plant physiology, including growth stages, growth analysis parameters (absolute growth rate, relative growth rate, crop growth rate, net assimilation rate, and leaf area index), and the relationship between plant growth and environmental factors. Next, introduced the concept of growth curves, highlighting the sigmoid and logistic curve patterns commonly observed in plant growth, and discussed the influence of various factors on these curves. Lastly, provided instructions for a lab activity on leaf area measurement.
Common Parameters used in Growth Analysis.
1. Absolute Growth Rate (AGR)
2. Relative Growth Rate (RGR)
3. Crop Growth Rate (CGR)
4. Net Assimilation Rate (NAR)
5. Leaf Area Index (LAI)
