The Mirror Lake ground is a Geopark in Gunung Rapat which is located in the midst of several limestone mountains. The main attraction is a small lake which has flooded a couple of old quarries.
Gunung Rapat (GPS: 4.55692, 101.12174) is the name of of cluster of limestone hills in Ipoh, Perak. The neighbourhood located to the immediate north of the hills is likewise called Gunung Rapat. The name Gunung Rapat, which translates as "tight mountain" refers to the limestone hills that are tightly clustered together.
Due to its characteristic, Gunung Rapat is home to numerous caves. These have been appropriated by the local Chinese and Indians and made into cave temples. Among the cave temples at Gunung Rapat include Sam Poh Tong, Nam Thean Tong, Ling Sen Tong and Kek Lok Tong. There are also lakes at Gunung Rapat that have become tourist attractions. They include Tasik Cermin and Qing Xin Ling Leisure & Cultural Village.
The Mirror Lake is actually on the other side of the limestone mountain and past the ticketing counter is this old mining tunnel which you would have to walk through.
